Description:
Red Dahlia is a four-piece rock band with roots
in Columbus and Athens, Ohio. After a long and futile search for a bass player,
the band opted to do without. Instead, the group relies on guitar trickery
and keyboard patches to make up the difference. Gimmickry aside, Red Dahlia
is known for their haunting vocals and dynamic tone which varies from beautiful
and serene to thick and heavy. Inspired by fellow musicians in both the Columbus
and Athens scenes, Red Dahlia has a unique songwriting style that borrows from
various sub generas of rock to paint epic soundcapes. At times the band has
been described by others as hard rock, indie-pop, and garage rock. We reccommend
that you visit the music and video links

Reviews:
"Sometimes rock doesn’t get any better than when it's in its
bare, stripped-down form. Athens, Ohio natives Red Dahlia capitalize
on this theory. Their self-titled debut album also holds an impressive
amount of realism in their artistry. With a heavy guitar driven sound,
the band captures rock in its simplest elements and runs with it, something
a lot of bands have a hard time pulling off without being completely
superficial." - John Bohanon :: redisalltherage.com
"...the band has one of the more unique sounds to be found around these parts. As heard on the EP, they create a charged din that’s as moody as it is invigorated, as bleak as it is bright, and as tempestuous as it is tempered. " --Stephen Slayberg :: Columbus Alive :: 9/1/5
